It opens with a recap of the practices so far.

This is a nondual awareness practice that uses imagery to recognise the spacious, effortless quality of awareness.

  • Begin with steadying in the whole body, then let the body move into the background.
  • Open to sounds. Hear the whole field of sound, even very faint and distant sounds, in every direction.
  • Notice that awareness extends in every direction, like space holding all these sounds. Tune in to the space in which sounds occur. It is silent and still. Sounds arise out of the silence and fall back into it.
  • Notice there is one continuous field of awareness. As soon as a sound arises it is known – the sound and the awareness arise together. Sounds are like waves: they arise out of the ocean and never stop being the ocean.
  • Include body sensations, then seeing. All of it arises within awareness, vividly appearing yet insubstantial. Sensations arise out of awareness and fall back into it – they are expressions of awareness.
  • Awareness takes no effort. If you notice efforting, relax, and release into awareness.
  • Include feelings and emotions, arising and falling back like ripples.
  • Include thoughts. The mind is like the sky, and thoughts are like a breeze moving through.
  • Include the sense of self – the meditator, the doer, the observer. It is like a rainbow, vivid yet insubstantial. Unhook simply by relaxing, and let awareness do the practice.
  • Rest as awareness knowing itself. Recognise this awareness as you.
  • This is a view, and a view can be taken anywhere. It continues after the formal practice ends.
